Today Baba remembered the global family. There are many double foreigners here, and Baba said so beautifully, that wherever there is a gathering, there is Madhuban, and wherever there is Madhuban, Baba is also present. There is great power in gathering together. Baba also gave a beautiful blessing to all the centers in the foreign countries, saying that just as expansion is taking place in India, in the same way there will also be expansion in the foreign countries. I was in New York for almost four months, and from there I was connected with almost the whole world—North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and many other countries. Here, I am more focused on Bharat (India). When I am there, I stay connected with India. I was reflecting on how Baba prepares each one of us. It is a long story, but I first met the Brahma Kumaris when I was 11 years old. I started taking the course when I was 16. Then I left university and dedicated myself completely to Baba's service when I was 22. There were three important ages in my life: 11, 16, and 22. As the Brahma Kumaris organization became better known, we started receiving invitations to international conferences. During Baba's time, I traveled mostly throughout Asia, Poland, Belgium, and many other countries. Usually, I would go for about a week to attend conferences. Eventually, the time came when I moved to New York. I had a list of people I had met at many conferences, so I began calling them to let them know I had arrived. They all said, "If you need any help, let us know." Those who worked at the UN encouraged us by saying, "Come, we will help you become members. Your organization is important because you genuinely work for peace and you yourselves are peaceful." They introduced us to senior people at the UN. 

Gayatri and I started meeting many top officials. Gradually, people came to know us—not so much as "Brahma Kumaris," but as "the white sari angels." People recognized us by our white saris. We became members, and because we actively participated in meetings and contributed meaningfully, we built a good reputation. After two years, we became eligible to apply for consultative status, which meant that the UN could seek our advice and we could also offer advice. It was interesting because nineteen governments had to approve our application. We decided to visit all nineteen embassies and introduce ourselves. We started with the United States because it was considered the largest country in terms of influence and resources. The U.S. Embassy was located directly across from the UN building. The ambassador agreed to meet us. Gayatri and I introduced ourselves as representatives of the Brahma Kumaris and briefly explained our meditation work. He immediately said, "I will definitely approve your application," because he had previously served as the ambassador to Guyana and already knew our organization very well. In Guyana, we had a large center. Gayatri's parents were well known there—her father had been the Vice President. He had provided us with a large building located among many embassies. Gayatri's parents, whom we affectionately called Uncle and Auntie, lived only five minutes away. There was great love for the center, and many ministers and VIPs supported us. Uncle and I also stood there each evening watching the work. Many wonderful things happened. When we later met the ambassador again, he said, "Even the government could not have rebuilt such a beautiful building within three months." Our goal had been to inaugurate the new building on Diwali and invite Dadi Janki. We were able to accomplish that. The ambassador said, "Even the government could not have done what all of you achieved. You should definitely be part of the United Nations because you do not only teach meditation—you also know how to take action." He approved our application. One by one, we visited all nineteen countries. Only China and Pakistan did not approve our application, but we did not mind because the final decision would be made by voting in the General Assembly. Jayanti Bhen, Gayatri Bhen, and I sat there while the voting took place. They announced that the Brahma Kumaris were applying for consultative status. The countries voted one by one. The United States voted yes, and most countries also voted yes. Two countries suggested placing us on what they called a trial roster for one year to observe our work before granting full status. We accepted that happily. After one year, our report was excellent, and we were granted full consultative status.

 When Baba mentioned the global family today, all these memories came back. Earlier, we sometimes wondered why only a few of us had to leave India and live so far away. Then Dadi explained that we had become instruments for the first stage of establishment, and now the second stage of establishment was taking place in foreign countries. We were to become instruments for that second chapter. We happily accepted this responsibility. We had already been trained in everything—from cooking to meeting VIPs. In Delhi; Jagdish bhai had trained us well. Even at a young age, we handled many responsibilities. Still, at times we missed India. Today, when Baba remembered the gatherings and service in foreign countries, I thought about how much service is now taking place throughout America. We have many classes, many wonderful families, Peace Village retreat center, and now we are adding another fifty rooms. One new building is already completed, and expansion continues because there is so much demand. Later, I will tell you another part of the story. Sometimes I used to ask Baba, "Why do I have to become Your instrument?" Then I realized that when you remain in India, you may not realize how large this family has become. We are now present in around 130 countries. Our organization has reached a very prestigious position, not only at the United Nations but throughout the world. Yesterday someone mentioned that when Prime Minister Modi visited Raipur, he said that there was hardly any country he had visited where there were no "Om Shanti" people. A brother who had come from Moscow told us that when Modi passed by, he greeted him with "Om Shanti." Modi recognized the greeting and responded, saying that Brahma Kumaris were there too. He said it made him feel at home. Wherever you go, this truly feels like one global family. That is why Baba gave these blessings today.

 Baba once said that before worldwide service began, He was known mainly as Bharat Pita (Father of India). As centers spread throughout the world, He became known as Vishva Pita (World Father). Through world service, His name became glorified. This morning I remembered how much Baba wanted this service to spread. Fortunately, my education was connected with the United Nations. I majored in Political Science because after belonging to Baba, I thought that if I was going to study, I should study something useful for service. Otherwise, what was the purpose of collecting degrees? My studies helped me represent the organization because I understood international affairs and politics. Today, Baba remembered all of you because you are listening from many different countries. I realized how vast the experiences Baba has given me. Baba also remembered all of you and said that expansion is taking place and will continue to increase. That is the external expansion. Internally also, I have observed something. In most of our foreign centers, there is very little wasteful conversation. People generally do not talk about others. Everyone remains engaged in service, pays great attention to self-effort, and practices many different spiritual disciplines sincerely. People are very serious about their spiritual life. Before eating, they always offer their food to Baba. They are very disciplined. You are all part of this global family because Baba sees you every day. Baba says that now, in your efforts, you should always cooperate with everyone. The greatest gift, Baba says, is to become a child of the Bestower and give cooperation to everyone. Always cooperate with everyone through good wishes and by putting things right. As soon as you notice something is wrong, put it right immediately. If someone's mood is spoiled or they are disturbed, do not think, "This person said this," or "That person did that." While seeing, hearing, and understanding many different situations, there can be many reasons for sadness. But what should we do? Bring about transformation through your stock of cooperation. People have different moods and different ways of behaving. Baba says your task is to give cooperation and make every soul full. This is the greatest donation of all. Giving cooperation is the greatest gift we can offer to everyone. Become a great donor.
