Om Shanti!

A very happy and joyful Teachers’ Day to each of Baba’s children, because every child of Baba is a good teacher. Everyone has some specialities. It is not just a question of education, but it is a question of the quality of what you do and your relationship with others. I like it, and Baba always mentions one of the most important qualities: Baba’s style should be friendly with everyone, whether people like you or not, whether they are against you or not. Be very friendly, because when there is friendship, deeply within, people appreciate that friendship.

I was remembering today that we are three sisters in the lokik family and one brother. He was in gyan and lived a pure life. He was married and lived a pure life. It is a very beautiful area in Delhi where we have a big house, and there was a centre there. There was also a market about five minutes’ walk away. He used to go and buy fruits and all those things, and he used to enjoy going there, buying fruits, and talking to people. When we were passing through the market, everyone said that he was very helpful and very friendly with all the shopkeepers, market people, the maids, and everyone. He was very friendly but also very helpful. When he left the body, the whole market came together. They arranged the funeral carriage and flowers. They bought the best flowers and decorated the funeral carriage. I was really moved by that, because he was always smiling and loving and kept saying “Om” to everyone. All the neighbours, market people, shopkeepers, and everyone respected him.

Whatever one does in life, when it is the end of this physical life, whether the person was near or very old, you can see the respect that people have for them at the end and how they really respect the departure. My sister was in Mauritius and was very well respected. When she left the body, the President came and stayed for one hour in the room, where the body was. Then they had a state funeral with a band, and people simply walked wherever the funeral went. Whatever is done throughout life, you can see how people have that respect at the end and how they really respect the departure. There are many such things I always remember: whatever we may be, whatever we may give—even if you do not give anything, be friendly, be cheerful, and have good relationships with everyone. Then you are also appreciated.

In the end, everything emerges in people’s hearts. So never create any trouble or animosity with anyone. Sometimes I am told, “These people are like this, they are always like this.” But I try to be loving and friendly, and then they change. They become cooperative, they are always willing to help, and they want to do whatever we tell them. I enjoy it because I do not want to think, “What do you think of that person?” I don’t want to think that way. I want to think in a positive way, and it is so enjoyable to see people change. Every day, that is what I try to do, so that Baba has more children who are more polite, more respectful, and very helpful. All these qualities we have to create in them, not to see people as they are, but to see how they should be. Through our interaction with them, they become like that.

So, great donors—that is what a good, great donor is. A great donor is not only someone who gives. A great donor is someone who goes beyond and gives even when others may not seem worthy of it. They may not seem worthy, but they can change. The same people whom others may say are not good can change and offer everything to you. They can give everything. So Baba says, what do we have to do? Become great donors and bestowers of blessings. We have a very common expression in America: “Bless you, bless you, bless you.” When you sneeze, here we say “Sorry,” and they say, “Bless you, bless you.” It is a very common expression. Even the dollar in America has written at the bottom, “In God we trust.”

You are Brahma Kumars and Kumaris, so you are the children of Brahma, who draws the lines of fortune. Should I go and ask him to draw a line? He looks at it and keeps increasing the line of our fortune. Therefore, let your treasure remain constantly overflowing. Bhandar bharpur nahi, bahut bharpur- very full, not just full, but very, very full. Baba says, “Constantly overflowing.” So do not allow anyone to go back empty. Remain the children of the Bestower. Remain the children of the Bestower. Constantly continue to give, constantly continue to give, and fulfil all their feelings. People come with a lot of feelings, but sometimes we are so caught up in giving answers that their feelings and desires are not fulfilled. Become great donors and bestowers of blessings. This is your image; this is what you are. We go in front of God and say, “God, just give...” They are bestowers. Even their eyes are giving; everything is being bestowed. So, great donors and bestowers of blessings.   Om Shanti
