Om Shanti

Happy Janmashtami to everyone.

Baba says that every festival creates enthusiasm, so today we too are enthusiastic to celebrate, both internally and externally, the birth anniversary of Shri Krishna. We call it Janmashtmi. As you observe how it is celebrated, I've already shared a few stories. But what I want to share is, on between many beautiful points came, which are not connected with Janmashtmi and this is also month of Brother Nirwair. He is saying very beautifully that anyone who comes to talk to you should feel belonging, gentleness, humility, and warmth. When people experience that feeling, many of their problems are already solved. Even today, many people feel, "No one gives me that feeling of belonging." That's why people go to him, because they know that in one way or another, he will help them. Another important point came up during the Murli revision. If you see something wrong happening—whether at a center or anywhere else—you should report it to the appropriate senior. But after informing them, don't keep getting involved. During Brahma Baba's time, Baba also told the children: if you see something at the center that is not according to Shrimat, inform Baba. There was a sister who came back after a week and said, "Baba, it's still happening." Baba replied, "You already told Me. Now don't keep thinking about it." Why? Because otherwise your mind remains occupied with it all the time. When she came again a third time, Baba said, "Now it has become your habit." This is how Baba helps us keep our intellect free. Remember Baba and continue making effort. Otherwise, our minds keep thinking, "This isn't right, that isn't right, this person is like this, that person is like that." Eventually, that becomes our way of life. After some time, it becomes a habit. Dadi Janki used to say that whenever someone came to meet her and immediately started talking about service or other people, she would say, "First tell me about yourself. Don't even talk about service yet. Later I'll ask you about the service." This was a very important point from the revised Murli. I wanted to clarify it because many people ask me, "Should we say something? Should we tell someone or not?" Baba always says: never take the law into your own hands. If possible, politely and lovingly explain the matter directly to the person first. If they don't agree, then you've at least made the effort. These two points came up, and I thought I'd explain them today instead of waiting until tomorrow. Every day Baba explains things to us and makes them easier to understand. There's a saying in Hindi: "By explaining again and again, He gradually makes us wise." Someone gave a beautiful example that Avyakti Parivar is like a stone lying in flowing water eventually becomes smooth and round, like a Shivling. In the same way, every day, little by little, we too will become perfect, because we remain constantly immersed in Baba's remembrance. So, what homework does Baba give us today? The stage of becoming a master bestower. Baba says that when you reach your complete stage, when your light shines constantly, you become like the sun and the moon. What extra effort does the sun make? None. It simply shines. Sometimes clouds come and cover it, but the sun never stops shining. Likewise, we should keep shining. Clouds—difficult situations and obstacles—will come, but we shouldn't think, "Why should I keep shining?" No. The clouds will pass. Let me continue doing what is right. Baba says that when you remain in the stage of a master bestower, searching souls will naturally and quickly come to you. They will want to meet you. All of us children have to serve at a fast speed so that every soul can claim its birthright from the Father—the inheritance of liberation and liberation-in-life in a second. Earlier I also used to wonder how this was possible. But now I understand. Anyone who comes to speak with you should leave feeling lighter—as though they have experienced God through you. They should feel liberated from the burden they came carrying. They should be able to say, "Now I won't keep thinking about this anymore." Brother Nirwair explained it beautifully: people accept what you say only when they first feel that they belong. We used to ask Dadi Janki, "We say the same things you say, but people don't accept them. Why?" Dadi would reply, "Because you already have your own opinions and feelings about them. You aren't really listening." Sometimes someone tells us something about another person, and we immediately form an impression before even meeting them. Instead, don't worry about what others think. Listen carefully. Today, one of the most important qualities is to listen. You don't have to speak much. Listen first, then say just a few meaningful words. People carry so much inside them. They simply want someone to hear them.

Om Shanti
