The mind has many powers and one of the powers is concentration. In Hindi we called it ‘Ekagratha’. In today’s world, one of the most difficult things is for people to concentrate. The mind is very scattered, it will go here, one minute there all over, that is why the mind is considered to be like a horse. In Abu we have horse rides, they show that horses can be controlled, air can be controlled, right? You have a fan that can push the air in one direction, so the mind should be in our control. You should be able to think what you want to think, it’s your mind. How do we keep gaining the powers of mind like they say peace of mind, mind filled with love, generous mind. The mind has so many powers. The soul can’t see the souls through these eyes, we see Baba through the eye of the intellect. When we say look at each other as a soul, I am looking at the center of a forehead and I am having the thought that you are a soul, you are a peaceful soul, we connect, right? The mind has a lot of capacity, and of course mind and intellect are together. You know scientists have a lot of concentration, so they are able to invent so many things. There are many stories about scientists getting great ideas like computers. The computer is a duplicate of your brain, now we start depending on the computer, right? Who created the calculator? We depend on computer, a lot of people if you give them little thing to calculate, they say give me calculator because they are losing their power of calculation. Everything now is depending on what Baba called ‘Sadhan” but we are losing the ability of the mind. Now you always write on a computer or type writer, in our school days we had a hand writing competition and now there is no hand writing. when you see people writing, you can’t read it because they don’t write properly.
At the age of seven in school, they are given computers so they start their life with computers. So their own ability is reducing, so we all have to be less dependent. We feel so nice that I have a calculator or computer, but do not use more than is necessary. Or else your memories could be very short. Before we used to write on the pad, now we write everything on our little phone, right? To have powers of the mind, Baba says no wasteful thoughts, all the powers of the mind, because the soul works through the mind, now Baba is talking more about the comforter of heart. Some people are intelligent, others are clever, they twist things, they are very cunning which is not actually good. Then their honesty, their truth is lost, but Baba says comforter of hearts. Baapdada always has a big and an unlimited heart and He is therefore the comforter of the hearts. He wins everyone’s hearts so the same way you children also have unlimited hearts and also you are generous hearted so Baba says you have the heart of a bestower. Baba is saying that you all have such a heart. With your happy hearts you make souls happy, Baba says you make the world happy. You make souls happy and also the world happy, you elevated souls are supporters of the world, really that’s the part you all will play as the supporter of the world. Baba says all of you become ignited living lamps, and the world becomes enlightened. When all of you have an ascending stage there is benefit for all the souls. So this is our function and all that is through the mind.
