Om Shanti!

Happy Satguruvaar to everyone!

By listening to Didi Manmohini’s power of sustenance. You know, we do not have that now, but Didi used to tell us what we needed to do next. She was very direct, and we were happy to receive it. Whenever our group had to leave, including the foreign brothers and sisters, each one would go to Didi's room. Didi would give drishti and say, "You need to bring this change in yourself. You need to work on this." She was always very clear about what I needed to do. Nowadays, hardly anyone does that. Then, after a few years, she would ask, "What will you do when you return from here?" I would say, "Dadi, I will do this," mentioning the points that had come to my attention. Then she would say, "Out of these three things, two are fine." She would point out three things, and it was always very interesting to compare what I was thinking of doing with what she actually wanted me to do. Today I was remembering that. She would give such a powerful farewell drishti. Before giving Toli and saying, "Go, come again soon," she would speak a few words. Those words were clear guidance  about what I needed to do next. That is what was called sustenance, giving drishti and knowing what Baba wanted from that particular soul. Similarly, when we went to Dadi Janki, she would ask, "Is your service going well? How is the student circle?" Then she would immediately say, "First, tell me about yourself. What effort are you making? Then tell me about the service." We become so focused on the center, the students, and the service, Dadi Janki would not listen to that first. Everyone would try to tell her what they were doing, but Dadi would say, "That comes second. First tell me how you are doing and what efforts you are making." I think Dadi showed us what is most important for us. Service will definitely happen.

So, Baba is giving us this signal as homework: maintain the attitude of unlimited disinterest. This does not mean that I am not interested or I don't care. It is an inner stage. Baba says that powerful yoga is the fire of love, the remembrance, Baba says that it is like fire. It will destroy the fire of corruption and violence. Anger, hatred, revenge- all these are compared to fire because they burn the person from within. If you have hatred for someone, you keep burning inside. So, Baba says that powerful yoga is the fire of love. The power of yoga is the power of love and remembrance. It is very beautiful that the power of yoga means the power of love and remembrance, and that is like fire. Many had been asking, "What is this fire?" Today Baba is saying that it is the power of love and remembrance. The power of yoga, the power of love and remembrance, is like fire, and this fire will destroy the fire of corruption and the fire of violence. That is the definition of this fire. Baba also says, "Give donation to all souls." Through doing this, your attitude of unlimited disinterest will be ignited. Baba says that on one hand, the fire of remembrance will destroy that negative fire, and on the other hand, it will cool. On one side it destroys the fire, and on the other side remembrance cools you down. So, Baba's message is to cool everyone down. Through this, Baba says, souls will be liberated from the fire of their sanskars and vices. When we hear this, we may say, "Oh yes, I already know this." But if you truly want to attain that stage, it requires reflection, realization, and continuous transformation. That is very important.

Om Shanti
