Om Shanti!
The awareness of this spiritual life, this alokik (divine) life, this Godly life, when there is constant awareness, then your being and your doing naturally become the same. It is not that once in a while I perform an act of uplifting someone. Through constant awareness, it has to become our nature. "I always do this, this is who I am." It should not be that today I have to perform some special act of upliftment. Deep within, I have to constantly be one who helps, encourages souls, and gives great hope to souls. It should become natural, just as some souls have a natural tendency to serve. They are always thinking, "How can I serve?" Whether they are giving a gift or receiving a gift, they always think, "Is this an act of service? Is it useful or not?" So, however many charitable and good actions we perform, they should become very natural. That is only possible when I remember, “I am God's child, then what is my service?” What should my actions be? What kind of vision (drishti) should I have? The more we work on awareness, the more consistent we become.
If anyone did not have something they needed, Dadi would always give it to them. Even if it was something she herself had, she would give it away. That was her nature. That means we need to develop that nature of helping souls and uplifting souls. She also used to think that if anyone asked for something, you should try to give it. Once an elderly mother sent a message to Dadi saying she had wanted something since the morning. Dadi kept saying, "Go and give it to her. Go and give it to her." Someone said, "Dadi, we'll give it to her later." Dadi replied, "Her thoughts will also create vibrations. Give it to her now so that she becomes satisfied." Then she will have vibrations of satisfaction. That was her nature. Dadi’s nature of helping, uplifting, and fulfilling the needs of others. She used to feel very happy and very light. That is what we have to do. My nature should become like that. Then many very interesting results emerge. We feel very happy. No sulking, no sorrow and no repentance. People carry many regrets, but for us- no guilt, none of those feelings. Baba says to become an emperor of a land free from sorrow. Should I remain content, or should I become sorrowful over every little thing? "I didn't get this." "You didn't do this for me." There are so many expectations. When those expectations are not fulfilled, there is sorrow. "I thought you would do this..." These are all desires. So, make benevolence (paropakari) your natural nature—not for one day, not for one action. People should know, "Oh, she is always benevolent. She will always do that." Be consistent in everything, whether it is serving through your thoughts... Those who work with you as a team come to know your nature. They ask you something, and you respond according to Baba's Shrimat. After some time, they already know what you are going to say. If we become the embodiment of that, it becomes very easy for others to follow us, to trust us.
Trust is a very big thing. Some people are trusted and some are not. Trust comes from our consistent stage. When you keep going up and down, wavering; it is not easy for others to trust you. So, make that a specialty of your nature. Whatever we say about someone, people should feel, "This person never says no." With some people, we are never sure whether they will say yes or no. I like this title: An Emperor of the Land Free from Sorrow. Baba says, “An emperor of the land without sorrow” To donate all your treasures to all souls is to uplift them. To donate all your treasures to all souls is to uplift them. Baba says that those who uplift others in this way will always experience themselves as being full of treasures. By giving, they themselves become full. So, Baba says they will feel full of treasures and become emperors of the land without sorrow. Baba says that no sanskars of sorrow will emerge. Then, in their thoughts and in their actions, they simply serve. Serve through thoughts and through actions. Do not see anyone's weak sanskars. Instead, have a merciful vision for them, and uplift even those who defame you. To bring about change in others: donate in every act of goodness, every act of kindness, every act of love, because they experience that. Even if someone does not think the same way, you keep thinking good thoughts, keep sending love, and eventually it emerges. However don’t think, "If that person doesn't do it, why should I do it?" Then if someone doesn’t say, "Om Shanti." Why shouldn't I say it? What do I lose by saying it? Just like our Dadi Prakashmani gave so much, because that was who she was: loving, caring. Whatever she did, for us it seemed extraordinary, but for her it was completely natural. In the same way, we too have to become the embodiment of these specialties. Then we will help others, and your image will also become like that, which is important.
Om Shanti
