Om Shanti! So I am in Shantivan, part of Madhuban in India. A lot of people ask me, where do you like more, in the USA or in India. So I told them, both places. They say, what more? I say, India. Because every day there is a festival. Every day there is Brahma bhojan. Every day there is something, not a single day. That festivity, I remember one time our PM was explaining how… there was a delegation during Holi time, a foreign delegation; there were 100 of them & Foreign Minister took all of them to the Holi festival, somewhere there was garba & they gave everyone Indian dresses & they were all dancing, and they were very happy. So every day there is some celebration. The month begins, days pass, and now is what they call … basically 2 things will be happening; one is that tomorrow is the last day for offering bhog to our ancestor souls. I know that in India, I don’t know about young people, but older ones, they have a lot of bhavna to offer bhog for shradh. I also do for alokik, dadis & everyone & lokik. Because even Baba says, do not remember lokik, but we acknowledge. Someone came to me & her mother had passed away very recently. She said, why there is emotions for mothers?  Because what mothers do for a child, if you really think of, a lot of sacrifice. So, because of that, even if you have no attachment but you do have appreciation that what mothers do for a child. So it is just a feeling of, or bhavna what they have done for our physical & spiritual life. So, gratitude & making them feel that they still belong to the family. So we do this Shradh. And I like this Shradh, and in New York, I recommend everyone. So tomorrow is the last day of Shradh. Shradh word comes from shradhdha & shradhdha is more like a feeling of devotion for them. I think that people must be offering bhog for each one of us. Must be, grandmother for someone, grandfather. And dadi Janki always said that if you offer bhog properly, then when you leave, they will offer bhog properly for you. Know, because that will happen. So tomorrow is that & the next day, 9 nights of Goddesses, Navratri begins. And one time we had shown every Goddess, characteristics of every Goddess, armaments of Goddess; I don’t know if we have that, very interesting about each Goddess & then comes Deshehra, burning of Ravan, then preparation for Diwali. And then we start the new year & in the USA we have Thanksgiving, a big thing. They thank God for providing nature & things from nature. So every day here is a celebration. So it's good. It's very interesting. Many I know in the Western world have this big question: why we have to offer bhog for souls who have gone? It is not only just a memorial, but it is whatever we have we share with the whole family, whether it is food or, like in some of the traditions, families that they give clothes to brahmins. If you go to Bombay, they have temples; a lot of poor people sit in line & all these rich people come in cars & they give clothes & food- many things whatever day-to-day needs. Because they say that blessings of the hungry if someone is hungry if you give even a little food, their blessings, or a thirsty gets water …. So just sharing from whatever we have, in some ways, brings definitely some blessings. I think that shradh is basically respect for our ancestors. One time Baba said, generally they write that so & so left for heaven. So Baba said that you think they don’t have enough food for heaven. Why do you feed them, or they do not have enough good-quality food? No! it is just our feelings for everyone, for the whole universe. So offer bhog on the final day. For me, I have a lot of respect for the hospital, Global Hospital. Because I have been part of that from the very first day. The main reason is that there are some people who can afford good things or have enough money. There are some who don’t. So education is important; health is important. So, whatever way we can help. So whatever we eat for Shradh, we give to Global Hospital. Because food is not… You can buy rice, make kheer, or whatever for Brahma bhojan. It’s not much expense. So I feel it’s the money given for donation for bhog, so it should go for some service & Global Hospital is that. So, charity of a different kind. So Baba says to give in this way is to receive for all time. I am giving you; have that experience. Have you experienced that that you gave & you are receiving? You have! A lot! We will share one day. If any cooperative brother or sister of any of you, Baba says, that any soul, whether they are contact souls, it’s childish; it is considered temporary things to be permanent attainment… Baba is calling it childish, considering temporary attainment to be permanent, & have any desire for temporary name, fame & respect; then to give regard to that one while being humble yourself is to uplift others. So Baba says to give in this way is to receive for all time. These are the things you experience in day-to-day life. So not only experience but give. Experiment with that that you gave what came to you & remember that it is long-term; you give & receive for a long time. okay!
