Om Shanti!

Do you all feel you are children of Mama? Yes! So then it’s easy to look within and find the qualities which Mama had. Actually through our contact, our face or activity, we glorify our clan, and our family. It is a Godly university where we study so students glorify the professor in university, so always remember that it’s not only our natural disciplined life. It is alright to be light to be entertaining but discipline also, it should be so visible. We will talk more about discipline. At a young age we were taught so much about not wasting water or any resources, because there are many countries where people don’t get filtered water. Food has come to us from nature. Grains, vegetables, fruits, everything come from these five elements or nature. Money could buy food, but food is grown by farmers and if there is no sunlight or rain, food would not grow. If I’m wasting anything, I am creating a karmic account. Then nature is not happy with you, also you’re wasting someone’s share. Someone can drink that water, someone can eat that food, so nature is not that happy with you. One of the biggest charity I think in all religions is feeding people. Our principal is that we are very careful in using all the resources, like electricity and oil, so in a natural way to be economical, it will really create a big fortune for you, because you’re sharing with others.

Dadi Janki used to say to care, share and inspire. We have to do as Mama said that  when you follow principles, you could be seen as a person with dignity. How I apply knowledge has a big impact in society: we are able to glorify Baba’s knowledge by our transformation. People notice that since this person has taken knowledge there is so much transformation; since this person belongs to Baba there has been much success. This is glorification. Time is short and we want to glorify Baba because that’s where our status will be determined, pay more attention to that, do not waste time and resources. When you’re not wasting then you are sharing a lot, this is a very high principle which creates some kind of atmosphere. They always say that Brahmakumaris are the ‘Om Shanti people’ because all the time they say Om Shanti. Same thing for our pure food, in India I was listening to many big Guru’s, they said that whenever they travel to any other city, they call Brahmakumaries for their food. They say we don’t eat anywhere, there are many Ashrams, but they go to Brahmakumaris because they cook fresh, they cook in God’s remembrance. Their food is very tasty and they serve you with a lot of love. We have to use leftovers sometimes, because as I said it’s a good thing if we finish it, we can’t keep throwing it, that’s not our policy. We make something fresh for breakfast, we have to offer something fresh to Baba, this is also good for the health of mind and health of body. Dadi Janki had to really teach people in England what is fresh to make every day, right?

Baba is saying  the homework for today is the mental stage of an actor or you could be a player as in a game, right? Baba says that I am a player on this unlimited stage, the stage of a player gives you the experience of remaining constantly cheerful. Baba says that whatever the situation of the world, many would say that this is a calamity. So, Baba says to constantly play the game and see everything as a detached observer. I think it’s quite a lot to experiment with being a detached observer, then see what is the benefit? What did I give up, actually we should write about these experiences, then we can share with others- how it’s very useful to be a detached observer. Baba says to consider that calamity to be a game. Baba says that with the power of tolerance, experience it as an entertainment. The image of tolerance should be natural. I heard the news of a few people being trapped in a mine for many days and they survived, right? There was no food or water; so that is why we have kept Monday as a day of silence and we miss one meal: either lunch or dinner. For a long time in India on Mondays we never had dinner. We had this habit of fasting. I think  your body will be better with this kind of fasting. Anytime you over eat you feel so sluggish, you’re not happy with yourself by over eating. I remember when we were young we were taught to leave the table with little hunger, that means pay attention and don't over eat. This is a way of respecting nature, your own dignity, and the atmosphere of royalty which we create. We have to glorify Baba, we have to glorify our family, our clan, and our knowledge. Our university where we study is unique, special and high-quality, right? Okay.

Om Shanti
