Om Shanti
Happy Satguruvaar to everyone.
Today, when I sat to offer Bhog to Baba, there was such a strong pull. Within a second, I was just with Baba. When there is a pull from Baba, there is no effort. Sometimes we really have to make effort to have good yoga, to have a good state of mind. That means there are some sanskars or some souls pulling your intellect. It's quite a vast subject, and we need to observe it because Baba also said in Bhog message that the time will come when there will be many vibrations of fear and hopelessness. So, we have to be strong and not be affected by any kind of vibrations. Even though we are very pure and sensitive and can catch everything very quickly, internally I was thinking that generally, whenever I have to offer Bhog, I don't have to create even one thought in order to have yoga with Baba because Baba Himself pulls the soul. Any kind of pull—it could be a person, a situation, money, or anything else—has many karmic accounts behind it. It should happen that when the final papers come, now is the time to become ready for perfection and to go home. Yet we still have pulls. "Let me do this..." The intellect and the mind are both drawn. So, it's a whole subject, but it seems Baba wants us at this time to pay attention and check that I am pulled only by Baba. Baba's pull makes you feel so happy, so light, and requires no effort. Otherwise, from time to time, we definitely have to pay more attention and put in a little labor. So, it is a whole subject of looking at your pulls, because those pulls will defeat you. Many times, I remember Dadi Janki used to say: "If you have any weakness and you don't correct it now, you will be deceived at the right time." I still remember that, and I have seen how sanskars can deceive you at the right time. Circumstances can be seen as scenes of the drama, but they are also test papers. Any adverse situation that happens is like a test for you. What do you do at the time of the test? Those who have studied well... I remember during our education, some students, if they had not studied properly, would keep pointing at the question paper saying, "These questions are so difficult. Why do they have to ask this?" But good students quietly sit down and answer all the questions. The circumstances in life are questions for us. We have to give the right answers. Whether you see them as scenes of the drama or as test papers, if I have studied well, I have an answer for everything. The same is true in practical life. One point came into my mind: where there is contentment, there is prosperity. Contentment attracts resources. Lack of contentment causes resources to disappear, even if you already have them. Throughout life I have seen that anyone who has contentment has everything. Not only do they have everything, but everything continues to come to them. Surprisingly, because that soul is already satisfied, more continues to come. But those who are always wanting this or that—nothing comes to them. Sometimes I think about Lakshmi attracts Lakshmi. Lakshmi represents this whole attitude of abundance: "Yes, I have a lot. Baba has provided everything." So, Baba says that success comes through contentment. Success through contentment." (संतुष्टि से सफलता). Whether it is a task or any kind of resources, there are many stories about this even in the path of bhakti. It is a very good thought about contentment. The first part of the word "contentment" is "content." Think of the contents of a book—what kind of material does it contain? Similarly, if you have good qualities within you, good virtues within you, then your inner contents are so good that you naturally have contentment. Many of you understand what I am saying. If I always have peaceful thoughts, always pure thoughts, always elevated thoughts, always loving thoughts, then my contents are good. My inner material is good, so I will be content. Contentment does not come from outside. It comes from within. That is what I need to watch and create. Baba wants us to become jewels of contentment. I take this opportunity to send good wishes to all those who have become victims of the recent earthquakes in so many countries and places. Our good wishes from Peace Village are with all those souls. Wherever you are, you can also share with others. Baba says that those who have the jewel of contentment are tolerant. It is not difficult. There is nothing that they cannot tolerate. Baba says that a tolerant person will not be afraid. So, Baba says not to be influenced by any vibrations of extroversion. Vibrations are so subtle that their influence can even change your intellect and your state of mind. Therefore, when I am with Baba, there are vibrations of clarity, truth, and love. Otherwise, all the time there are different vibrations and thoughts constantly arising in people's minds. With tolerance, they will be able to face everything. So, Baba says that their faces will constantly be visible as content and happy. Contentment is true happiness. Baba says that your eyes and your mannerisms should reveal contentment. We can observe this ourselves. If you have a chance and there is abundance in front of you, and you think, "Let me keep taking more," that is greed. Manners are visible at every step of life. If our eyes are always going toward something, our manners reveal it. The whole dignity of life is reflected in our manners. I was sharing that manners also reflect your laukik life and your alaukik life. I was brought up in a very large traditional family where we were taught every little thing—how to remove our shoes, how to speak respectfully, how to speak to younger ones and older ones, how to connect with nature—everything. Then we came to Baba and learned even more about divine manners. Brahma Baba came from a very royal family, and he immediately recognized what kind of manners we had brought from our worldly families. These days in India, if a sister wants to surrender, she is expected to have a university degree because education is also important. Especially if you have studied at a good university, it becomes visible. So, do not neglect manners and do something which defame both your laukik family and Baba. That is why Baba says: "Never be seen as discontent, because you are jewels of contentment." Baba says they remain constantly content. I think this is a kind of final stage—full and content. I remember that in Madhuban in yagya, sometimes regular food would be cooked. But there was a time when Baba said everyone would receive buttermilk and millet rotis. Some people immediately began saying, "I have never eaten that. I don't think I can manage." But there were some surrendered mothers from very royal families who said: "Baba is feeding me. I will eat whatever Baba feeds me." Those who had negative thoughts became sick. Some got diarrhea and other illnesses. But those royal mothers kept saying, "Baba is feeding us," and they did not become sick. This shows the power of the energy of our thoughts. If we pay attention, and if Baba wants to give us something in the yagya, and we accept it with faith and love, it will not harm us.
So, Baba wants to see that we have good manners, discipline, self-control, and self-discipline—not the attitude of "I will do whatever I want." This is Baba's yagya, Baba's organization, Baba's family, Baba's university, for that you have to be qualified. In an organization you have departments. In a university you have to study. In a family you need to know what good relationships are. Each one of us has to look at this. The better you do it, the more contentment will remain. But if I keep saying, "I do what I want. I don't need to ask anyone..."—I always ask everyone. That does not reduce my qualifications. So, I like the word manners. Good manners. And whatever we do, we should never forget that others will begin doing the same. Therefore, I have to be responsible for my actions so that Baba can give me good marks and a good certificate. Okay. "Jewels of Contentment" is the title for all of us, and that is our homework now.
Om Shanti
