TO remain constantly Cheerful, be easy-Natured and tolerant #16

Om Shanti!

In Path of Bhakti there is the importance of Monday. They do fasting, they worship Shiva. So for us also after a busy weekend talking and having bhog; Monday is good for fasting of the mind and fasting of the body. They have decided that in the evening, half a day we will be fasting, half-day will be eating. So it is really very important, and I think any kind of accomplishment requires some renunciation. Some sacrifice is needed. So we also want to cooperate in Baba’s task of establishment of the new world. When Baba had this divine vision of the form of Vishnu and he heard the voice saying, “You are also like me.” It was not clear to Baba in the beginning, but as he went on the spiritual journey, everything started becoming more and more clear. Baba saw exactly the scenes which are happening today all over the world. It is now very clear, right? For everyone of us, in whatever way with whatever speciality, whatever capacity we can do, we are all committed to this task of establishment. In this establishment and the completion of the task, what is important is our stage of perfection, our stage of completion. Then natural service happens through you. You will become an instrument, you will be a source of inspiration. A good example, but it is important that I become perfect. It is Baba’s task, Baba will do it, right? We can become instruments, but it's Baba’s task. However, to become perfect is my task. When needed, Baba will give us extra help, he will give us a bonus, he will give more blessings, but effort has to be mine. One time Baba said that if I make an effort, then I will experience my fruition. So we have to be perfect. I always remember that whatever happens in Baba’s task, but I have to be perfect. One of the signals Baba is giving us is that perfect means your virtues should be practical. Maybe I think I have a lot of tolerance but when the situation comes, we need to see what's the percentage of tolerance I really have?

Once they all were in Peace Park and Dadi Prakash Mani was there. In those days, we used to spread mat on the ground and sit there and get our picnic plate. Some souls have this habit, they always talk about others, right? Instead of talking about knowledge, going into the depth of knowledge they always bring out something about someone's behavior. So that was going on amongst others and Dadi was sitting there smiling and she kept eating from her picnic plate. I was surprised because she wouldn't think or say a word, nor did she stop them. She was a detached observer. I remember that scene so much, because I learned what it is to be a detached observer. I admire her love and her tolerance. One time she was criticized by one or two souls, and I couldn't tolerate it and I wanted to respond. Dadi keeps telling us that you don’t have to answer. We asked Dadi, “Didn't it bother you at all?” She said, “No, I was looking at my eight powers, checking to see if they were working.” It is so interesting that when you think about these examples, you see virtue in practicality. In the drama  different scenes emerge, so at that time, I have to see what's the percentage of my patience. This is really what Baba is saying is an important, practical example of every virtue. Baba says,to the extent that you have an easy nature, so our remembrance will also be easy. Like Dadi Gulzaar, she had an easy nature. She did everything, right? Remembrance is there to the extent that you are easy. Baba says that whatever you are, your creation will have the same sanskars and the same nature. Every moment we are giving, even if we are not, but others are looking at us. Therefore become a practical example of every virtue. Whatever time we have, use every virtue for self perfection and also for Baba’s service. It is just a question of paying attention, reminding yourself, to use virtue and power.     Om Shanti
