Om shanti!
I know that many countries are a day behind, so still you must be listening more about Holi. It begins with the burning of a bonfire, and they make some kind of sweet and salty koki. This is a Sindhi word, Sindhis like koki very much. The blessing was that once Holika had the scarf on her head, she could not burn in the fire. When she was in that fire, the wind blew off the scarf onto Prahalad's head, so he was saved and she died. I am not sure if it's a real story but it's an inspiring story. If I have faith in God, it should be unshakable, it should be firm and strong. Baba is calling that faith as the foundation. Of course the example is given of building, but actually it is of our lives, the foundation of our life is faith. Baba says that when there is faith there is victory. Now is the time to be victorious. So, Baba is saying that faith is the foundation of the victory. If the foundation is strong, then the building cannot shake, then you will remain carefree. If there is shaking, then internally some kind of waste thoughts come. Thoughts like: when will it happen? What will happen? Baba said that if your foundation is weak, then with the slightest storm, with the slightest upheaval of the earth, you will be afraid. You will be afraid that the building will perhaps fall or develop cracks, which will leak also. Sometimes it is very difficult to fix the leak. However if your foundation of faith is strong, you will remain carefree and also fearless. Carefree and fearless. How many of us, when we look at ourselves, we see subtle forms of fear?
Sharona is from Israel, where there is a war going on with Iran. Both countries are bombing each other. They don't know when flights will resume. Some were sent from Ahmedabad to Madhuban. So on one side there is fortune, right? However, on the other hand, they don't know when they will get a flight. Air India is flying every day. So in a practical way, it depends on your faith and how you see things. Baba says that in every scene of the drama there is kalyan (benefit). Some kind of benefit is there, but somebody said to see the benefit of that, it takes faith. If this didn’t happen, we wouldn't have gotten that. So anyway, as I said, “Faith is important.” According to the drama, whatever happens will be the best, success and victory is our birthright. We have to keep remembering the blessing Baba has given, all the time. One time I asked Baba, “Before we came to knowledge, we had a life that was smooth, little or no problem.” We came here for peace, but it is like a constant war with maya. Baba looked at me and said, “Just to give you experience, because if you have experience, you can help others.” Baba made it so light. Since then, I always say to anyone who comes to me that it will be over. It is my experience that it will be over. It is not going to go on forever. A lot of people asked me, “When is the war going to end?” So I said that it can’t go forever. Just imagine, if the airlines don't work, they will lose billions. If they don't make money, how will they get paid? So I think that it cannot go long, but they say that the fire could be extinguished, but the smoke remains, and also anytime it may flare up again. So it is all drama. Welcome Sharona ben. Om Shanti
