Om Shanti

Whenever there is a beautiful experience in life, we say how sweet it is, how lovely it is, right? It depends on what one experiences, then very naturally the words which come out of your mouth is of appreciation of the sweetness. Sweetness, in the sense of it could be someone’s gestures, someone’s etiquette, someone’s response that you like. Somebody accepts very sweetly in a beautiful way, then we immediately say, “Oh I am  so happy that you accepted, how sweet it is, sometimes we say how sweet of you.” We are appreciating that action. What is true sweetness? Baba is connecting it with your purity and what you practice. What should be our awareness so that sweetness becomes our nature. Baba said to continue to sweeten everyone’s mouth, when you give someone a sweet then his or her mouth is sweetened for a while. Baba says that however, It is not sweetness while eating, but yourself becoming sweet. Sometimes one feels that what you are giving sweets(toli) is artificial, not real, it’s not from your heart. You know what is coming from a true heart, and what is coming in a very external way. This is what Baba meant, it is not a question of just giving sweets, but is more about becoming sweet and always having sweet words on your lips. There are some people any time you ask them how they're feeling? They say, “Very good very good, I am Okay.” Even though we know they have health problems or something, they are sweet people, they take everything in a pleasant way. Baba says that just as you become happy, when you give or you get something sweet, nice, all of that comes under sweetness. Baba says that sweet words make you and others feel happy. Sometimes you feel that a person is withdrawn or not full of enthusiasm or dryness in relationships, Baba says to make yourself and others happy. This morning I was meeting someone, he said that I really feel content, but I’m not happy. So I said that it depends on how in the beginning of your life, during your education, your profession, you  make yourself a certain way, so you won’t be happy. At this time you have knowledge and you are an instrument of Baba you should be happy. Happy about your fortune, happy about Baba making you the instrument to serve. He said, “Yeah, that I think I can do and I can be happy.” Some people don't know why they have to be happy and what can make them happy. Then Baba says that when there is sweetness for yourself and others then you feel happy. Sweet words make you and others feel happy,  nicely meeting people, talking to people with sweetness, and continuing to sweeten everyone’s mouth in this way. Always let your Dhristi, your words and also your actions be sweet. Baba begins the Murli or conversation, “My sweet sweet children” and we also say, “Sweet Baba, lovely Baba, my Baba.” Baba uses the word ‘sweet’ to children and children say, “Sweet Baba.” Our relationship is about giving and taking from Baba. This is always worthwhile, It has many blessings. Giving and taking everything in a sweet way will create happiness, and we will be able to give happiness to others also. Sharing of the sweetness actually makes us very happy, so being happy all the time is what Baba wants us to have.

Om Shanti
