Is everyone okay? When service began Dadis started going out from Madhuban to do service, they used to visit my lokik family because my mother was living a pure life. They would come to have Brahma Bhojan, and sometimes birthday cake. ‘Mohini’ of Madhuban used to come very often, she is the one who really gave me encouragement. When she came, we would take her around, so she used to stay with us a lot. One time she told us, “You all have to take some knowledge.” So we said okay, we sat and she explained very nicely. Then there was Dadi Rukhmani, Dadi Gulzar’s mother, who was in Delhi. Mohini used to explain knowledge very nicely. You heard her class, you know, because she was young, her way of talking to Baba would make him laugh. She was a little bit naughty. Once, somebody had to run after her. She would do all kinds of things, and I was always a little serious. She was very loving and entertaining, so in the beginning, when Dadi Prakashmani became nimit for Yagya, there were many who would take care of her. Finally, Didi Manmohini said that Mohini of Madhuban will take care of her or travel with her, because she was very light and entertaining and she thought it’s a big responsibility of Dadi Prakashmani. So there should be someone who is very light with her. She was in Delhi and Lukhnow, she was originally from Lucknow. She started staying with Dadi Prakashmani, writing her letters. For me, Mohini was kind of my first teacher, so I used to get a lot of opportunities to be with Dadi Prakashmani. When I am in Madhuban, I would have breakfast, lunch and dinner all the time with Dadi Prakashmani. Then of course I left India, but whenever I was with Dadi, Mohini didi would invite me, and that love and connection remained, because of the two of them.

 Mohini was the teacher and Dadi always supported her because what I find is that whatever a person is, just be loving to that person, not look at sanskars. If we don’t look at sanskars, then the relationships remain loving. Whatever anyone does, have a lot of love for everyone. We all are getting old in age. They keep telling me, yesterday also, your cycle of 84 births is over. So my 84 years have finished, 85th has started. I was also looking at how Mohini behn, she had been taking care of Yagya. There were a lot of loveful relationships. We look at each other’s sanskars and then say, “Oh, I don’t get along with this one.” I have no problem with anyone. What is needed to get along? There has to be love. 

When there is love in lokik families, everyone is different, but still we love each other. In the Brahmin family also, we have love for Baba, and love for everyone. Some of those brothers who are with Mohini, I have known them for many years, they also have a lot of love and respect. So we used to say Mohini of Madhuban, and Dadi used to call me “Big Mohini,” of course, and “Mohini of New York.” So this is how we worked together. Baba said when you have to sit to have powerful volcanic yoga, use the power to merge everything, in a second. All this is practice, right? Merge it in a second. Let all thoughts of service also become merged. Have so much power, that means as soon as you say, “stop,” you tell your thoughts “stop,” you are able to put a full stop. A powerful brake has to be applied, not a weak brake. Baba always talks of ‘one second’. Baba said it means that you are weak in your power to merge. If it doesn’t happen in a second, that means you are weak in your power to merge. So actually two things: one is when we sit, we see how long it takes, and second is practice today, how quickly I am able to merge. And then you will know that a lot of wasteful thoughts come, a lot of unnecessary thoughts come, so you pay attention and stop it. What is your percentage of power to merge, it is very important. Because unnecessary things emerge. It’s like Ganesha, they have to really tie a big stone so that it’s heavy, it can go quickly to the bottom of the ocean. Sometimes it could come up again, right? Well, there must be some significance that they worship for then days. Baba says that they feed the Ganesh, they praise, and then they go and immerse it in the ocean or in the water. Maybe it is the same quality to merge, right? As they go and merge Ganesh. So, we also have to merge everything. Power to merge is important.
