Om Shanti!

Dadi Prakashmani was not only lovely, but also determined. All these Dadi’s when they came as young girls, there were so many tests. One thing they never found in life is difficulty in spiritual effort. It was so natural to sit in yoga,  doing actions for yagya, and at that time, there were not any centers for giving knowledge. It was more taking care of yagya. Dadi Prakashmani had love for yagya, and not only that, she always used to follow Brahma Baba. When Brahma Baba became avyakt, he gave his hand in Dadi’s hand. Dadi did exactly as Brahma Baba did, taking care of yagya. Taking care of Baba’s children, taking care of the office and Bandara. She was doing it with the help of many brothers and sisters. When Brahma Baba left, everyone had a lot of love and wanted to support, co-operate with Dadi, for everything. I remember that, if I have something, I will go to her and say that this is what my feelings were. Then she would say, Okay, that's good or think about it, and then we will talk about it. She never put pressure on anyone. She allowed us to grow with increasing power to discern, and also kind of makes us feel responsible. When you discern and decide then you become responsible, right?

I think I might have shared it before, when I was in England, there was an invitation from Guyana. Sister Jayanthi and one other sister went, but after 6 weeks their invitation was finished, so they had to come back. By that time there were about 40, 50 Baba’s children there, and they asked, “What  about us?” We need something. It’s a long story but I was offering bhog, Dadi Janki would say, “Go to Baba, and get directions.” It was very difficult in London, people will come but won’t become Baba’s children. So she will say ok, go knock on the door of Baba and ask Baba. Jayanti bhen was telling Dadi that I should go, because service was of a very high level, but opposition was also there. I have a little bit of experience from Delhi about all this. Here I am offering bhog, and first thing Baba said was that you must go to Guyana. So Dadi Janki came, Bhog was over, and I said that I will go to Guyana. She didn’t want to send me, she said you are meant for big countries, not small places. I spend a year there, and then I have to come back for some reason to Madhuban. I told Dadi Prakashmani it is very far, and it’s little different. Maybe someone else should go. She said, “That’s fine but tell me who should go.” The next day, she used to walk in the courtyard, so she was holding my hand and she asked, "Did you think about it.” I said that I will go back at least one more year, because the kind of service which has been created should be sustained and it was a big center, so I will go back. There were many instances where she will make you decide what you want. Then naturally,  you become responsible. It was helping the souls to grow and increase their capacities. Then whatever comes in their life, they will know how to discern and decide.

She taught us many things. I still remember her, I was just feeling comparative to Dadi’s age, I was very young but the way she helped me to grow properly. I think that she was definitely a true Vaishnav. She won't say anything, won’t do anything ordinary, She will not touch anything impure, her Intellect was not touched by anything. So the signal for us on this journey is to be a true Vaishnav. Baba says that if your intellect is slightly, even slightly touched by simple thoughts or by sanskars, you cannot be called a perfect Vaishnav. When you see something as wrong, even if you see something or someone doing something wrong. Baba says that even seeing, that has an effect on you, and an account would also be created. If I see someone stealing something from yagya, should I see her or not. So many questions will arise, right? Similarly, just think that if even your intellect, even slightly touched by old sanskars or impure thoughts, Baba says that you could not be called a perfect Vaishnav or completely pure. Yeah, time might come that we don’t need to say anything. However, all these points need to be reflected and then see how best we can imbibe them to become a true perfect Vaishnav.

Om Shanti
