Om Shanti Everyone!

Ok, everyone is happy? We have the homework to be victorious over your mind, and one of the great mantras we have which Baba gives us is ‘Manmanabhav’. Make your mind stable, make your mind still, make your mind very calm, make your mind very cool, because whatever we do through our body through our organs, it starts with the mind. I remember that once our family decided to go to Srinagar Kashmir for the holidays. So I told Baba that we are going for a month because we used to get some government quarters, good quality, so we will go and spend time. Baba said, “There are no holidays for Brahmins. Every day is a holy day. So you should go, but open a center there.” You know we do things, we plan things, but Baba gives us certain maryadas, principles. After that, anywhere we went just for service, we have gone to so many countries. I know Dadi Janki's air travel, so much mileage. In lokik, you won’t do that but because of service we have to go to different places, different countries, and naturally we don’t make special effort, but you should always remember certain principles, maryadas. If your mind knows these are maryadas then it won’t break rules. These days, we have so many people with different plans. It’s just their mind, but become a good instrument and Baba will take care of you. So Baba says that to be successful, this spiritual principle is to give regard is to receive regard. This record of giving regard will become an imperishable record of success. Let there always be the one mantra of success on your lips, ‘you first’. Accurately ending the consciousness of ‘me first’, and making others move forward is actually moving ahead yourself. Then you will continue to receive success.

I remember that we had the President of India here and security was so tight. They don’t care, it is their duty. We have to respect that. Some of us were asked to be on the stage, but our seniors were not, so there was a lot of upset anger around how can you do that to the head of the organization? It was not a good scene so I told them to let them do their duty. If you wanted something, you should have given it to them in writing before and they would’ve done it. So even if I see that my senior is not given  permission or a chance, I can’t do anything. There are some people there who are not on duty or they’re not respectful, but you don’t get in an argument. Never bargain with your respect. The people who don’t have manners or the way of speaking is like that, stay quiet, stay silent. One time we were in Manhattan and Kala Bhen was driving and of course it was a very good car. So we didn’t notice that one of the policeman gave a hand to stop and we didn’t see it. So he made us stop and he said, “Do you know what this hand means?” How can you say anything because you will get ticket $60 or hundred dollars? So Kala Bhen said, “Yes sorry.” We had to say ‘sorry’ to him, not only that, but we had to agree with him that we did this mistake. Kala Bhen said, “Yes, I shouldn’t have done it. In the future, I will never do that. He’s talking with authority because he has that authority. Even in a parking lot, they have certain rules and regulations, but if you don’t follow, they start saying things which are not good. We don’t want to hear this. We don’t want our self-respect to be in the hands of others. I never take it personally. In custom office at the airport they take your luggage  and they throw things out. You have to be silent. You cannot say why you do it, he will do it more to show you that I have the authority. So every step in life, be sensible. Give regard and you will receive it.

Om Shanti
