  Om Shanti

Looking at the world conditions today, there is destruction of our own resources, destroying the lives of people, so much destruction is happening. We talk about God’s divine acts. One of the important acts of God is creating the creation. In addition to establishment, God’s task is transformation of the world, but before that transformation, what is required is transformation of people. It is the people who form a family, society, country, and the world. So when souls are reformed, human beings are reformed, then the world can be reformed. God gives us the knowledge, and as soon as we get the knowledge, we know what we have to do. Of course, one is self-perfection, making the soul complete, becoming viceless, and becoming incorporeal. Whatever we have received, we have to share with others, because it is so natural that we want to share. We want to share knowledge, and our love for everyone because they are worried and filled with fear. So how can we explain the knowledge to them so that they feel more secure and have constant hope? It is like sharing knowledge, sharing virtues, sharing powers, and I think that is called serving. Serving others is sharing.

Dadi Janki always used to say, “Share, care, and inspire,” because then people see how we are using our time and our resources. There are some people who will sit at home watching television for hours, but there are people who say, “Let me see where I can volunteer my time, where I can create my fortune, and also bring benefit to the world.” That is what we call serving. It is voluntary. Whatever we have, maybe not a lot of wealth, but we have talent, we have specialties. One of the brothers who was a good author of the organization said that one of the ways we are able to manage everything with minimum resources is because our main resource is volunteers. It is not that we are paid bonuses or require something for overtime. No, we are on service. Even if something happened at night to someone, we were available in some way or another. So this self-transformation requires quite a lot to change the self, improve the self and progress. Now Baba is saying, “Be consistent.” So it is for the self, but we also want the message to reach everyone. How will it happen? How do we do it? Of course, through discussion and finding different methods. Baba is saying not only service, but it should be all-round service.

I remember there are some people, when they see a task going on or there is a need, they immediately get up, cooperate, and get it done. There are others who just sit and watch. They do not have that kind of enthusiasm or initiative to give a helping hand. So this whole thing is about understanding what will bring joy to me. Is it just sitting or helping, sitting or keeping myself occupied? Dadi Janki used to say the greatest fortune is to be busy, because there is a saying that ‘an idle mind is the devil’s workshop’. Wasteful thoughts will come. There are people who do not know where to spend their time or what to do with whatever they know. We belong to God and know about the unlimited task, then we would not like to waste anything, but use everything in a worthwhile way. So Baba is saying, “All-round service.” Those who do all-round service will receive success over adverse situations. As soon as you begin something, there will always be situations. Many times when I started doing something and it did not work as I expected, I would say, “No, I don’t know, I am not capable, I want to withdraw.” Didi Manmohini would say, “You are the one who has to do it.” Then you say, “Okay, let’s move forward.” You are able to keep your commitment.

Baba says that when your stage remains constant and stable, then you do not mix the dictates of your own mind, body consciousness, or old sanskars with shrimat. Otherwise your stage does not remain consistent and stable. Spiritually, they speak of the four classes. One thing they say is that deities understand signals and are victorious conquerors, while some people bargain even with God, “If you do this, I will do this.” Why not offer bhog regularly for Baba? Shudras promise but are not able to fulfill their commitment. When you have Brahmin sanskars, you have knowledge, determination, and courage. Baba says that when your mind faces different kinds of situations, it can waver. But when your mind tastes sweetness, your stage remains constant and stable. So for service, a consistent and stable stage is required if you want fulfillment of purpose. One attention Baba always gives is just to be consistent and stay at work. Then everything becomes natural. Whenever you cannot do something, Baba will give you power, and you will receive a lot of cooperation, not only from people, but from nature also. Then your life becomes happy, lucky, and successful. Om Shanti
