Be a jewel of contentment #27

Om Shanti!

Everyone should have the thought that I am a jewel of contentment. Baba said that it is the diamond or the jewel which is on Baba‘s forehead. So each one of us should take that place. I am a jewel of contentment, it is not that I have to become that, I am. I was remembering that whatever we say or think, Didi Manmohini used to tell us that every kalpa you will be doing it like that, so think before you do. How do I use that? It depends on our intellect, contentment, and fortune. Everything depends on how we apply knowledge. If it is in the Drama, I will do it. I have to do it and then it will get ordained in Drama. Even if it is predestined and preordained, I have to still do it now so that it gets ordained. There is a very subtle difference, but we have to be sensible. There are certain situations in everyone’s life that can be considered as settling past karma. I remember when I was leaving for foreign countries, Didi used to give us three blessings. She said to constantly keep churning knowledge, and be in ‘Manmanabhav’. Constantly sing the praise of Baba (Vani se Prabhu ka gun gaan karo) and thirdly, change karmabhog into karmayog. This means that when you’re settling, some suffering is involved. It could be money, or the body. I decided that if I have six hours where I feel like I’m settling, I spend most of that time doing service and doing interviews and all that, but I am determined that I will constantly be in Baba‘s remembrance. I will constantly be soul conscious and make that like a yoga bhatti. So today I tried to do that. Contentment is really in your part. You can play out that part in both ways, creating fortune or settling a past karmic account. Recently, I got this question and I have been giving answers whenever there is enough time. How do I know I’m settling or creating? I think we definitely know settling because you don’t see what you did, but the situation which is happening definitely is the settling of unknown actions from the past.  Brahma Baba was number one and we could see his power of yoga, but his settling was never visible. His effort was never visible, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t make effort, or didn’t settle his old sanskars. Are you all content with your part? You are an example. Each one of you is unique, and your part is very unique, but are you satisfied with that? I believe that when you are content, then only you can move forward, otherwise you are stuck and you can’t move forward. Baba is saying that contentment is the special qualification of Brahmins. No one in the world is content. They say, ”If I have this then I can get that”. Remain content with the self and also with others, no discontentment with anyone. To remain content with the part you have received, is to move forward. Nimit means I have been given what I had been asked to do. No matter how big of a paper comes in front of you, remain content and make others content. You will be okay too by remaining stable in your eternal form. You will be content with only one method, and that is to be stable in your eternal form. Then you will be content with yourself and you will continue to give others the experience of contentment. We have to churn, we have to reflect, and then see it in practical terms. When you’re playing your part with contentment, it will do a lot of service. Our aim in life is to keep moving forward, so constantly be content with your unique part.

Om Shanti
