By listening to the explanation about contentment everytime, based on our understanding and whatever is our present duty, a big question came to my mind. I am not satisfied with the service, so Baba says to leave the service, but I will make a choice to do it with satisfaction because I don’t have to leave contentment. If I leave that service I will still remain discontent. A lot of thoughts can come. I didn’t do it, I should have done it, it would have been good to do it. So let me do it with contentment. Your contentement is increasing and you become more qualified, but if I leave it, yes there will be another opportunity, we will always get to do the service, but I left because I was not satisfied. In the lokik world also, if you leave a job, what is the reason? So doing it with contentment, having contentment, is upgrading the self. Brahma Baba used to see simple tests for the children, give everyone everything, ignore someone and that soul, Dadi Prakashmani shared with us, never used to doubt why Baba didn’t give to her? She would just smile, I am okay, and Baba knew that she is a contented soul. So even she didn’t get what Baba was giving and she was still okay. Baba used to watch the qualification in the soul that this soul is full inside. So if you are full, you are content, and if you are content, you will get more. So, there is always a choice between if you want a long term certificate for doing whatever you are doing, you have to do it with a lot of satisfaction whatever it is. From there, your improvement, your cooperation, everything will keep increasing. I have an example here of Bhumi bhen. There was a time when only two of us were here. So that means she would cook and she would clean the pots and pans. She would sweep the floor in the kitchen. It’s like the whole day she used to do that, but she never complained, she kept doing it. Then mata ji came and we had more sisters. How do we progress unless I pass in that situation? Passing is to have contentment. Little things can make you discontent and you say this is not right, that's not right, but just be content and everything becomes right, better and better.
All of us, I think just the right thought. I see how contentment is very important. Remain beyond any limited desires and always remain full. Whatever is necessary, what should happen and what my desires are, there are always very subtle conflicts within the self. Make the right choice and that is what I will do, then I am content. I will do it with contentment. You will see the inner progress and outer outcome is very beautiful. Remain beyond any limited desires and always remain full. Any service that makes you discontent is not service. That means do it with contentment. We have been given so many different kinds of tasks, and we do them with love. Service means something that gives you nurturing fruit. If there is discontentment in service, then leave that service but never let go of your contentment. I won’t let go of both,neither contentment nor service. Always remain beyond any limited desire and always remain full, and you will become equal. When we were young Brahmins, Didi Manmohini used to give us different tasks, different duties and if we say no, she would say, “I will never ask you again.” Not only that, but she always used to say that even if you don’t know, do it. She will ask us, we would do and we learned. Next time you learn more and more. So a lot of learning happens by accepting and doing. That learning might not seem like a qualification or ability, but that's the inner power. If you belong to the Yagya, we keep increasing these inner qualifications then the Yagya seniors all start trusting you. Sometimes I share my story when I came to New York. I didn't know what to do. Dadi sent me. Baba had told me. Let’s see. So I will keep sitting there, watching from the window, what's going on? There was a big part there. Today we have so many centers, countries, so somewhere deeply also obedience. I said, I never questioned why I was sent. It’s alright. Let’s see. Then dadi Nirmalshanta came, then Dadi Janki came, then Dadi Prakashmani came. Small place, apartment, they all came. So there is always some kind of hidden gift of whatever offer we are given, but before we give the gift,sometimes our limited desires force us to leave. Today’s lesson is don’t allow that to happen, remain full and content.
